Neutrogena Clean Replenishing Shampoo

For the most part, I have never had a bad experience with Neutrogena products. I buy a lot of products from them: lip gloss, blush, eye makeup remover, face cleanser, toner, sunscreen, body scrubs…all of their products, I love. One thing that never got my attention from this brand though was their hair products line. I think they are fairly new to the market. Nevertheless, this time, I decided to give their moisturizing Clean Replenishing Shampoo a try!

What it claims to do: it “gently cleanses and provides added moisture to improve dry, damaged hair. This moisture-enriched formula penetrates dry, damaged strands to make hair more resilient. Its thick, rich lather removes daily buildup and rinses clean.”

What it does: One thing I really like about this shampoo is that it leaves the scalp feeling fresh and clean. It smells SO fresh and so clean, you can almost feel it with your finger tips. It definitely builds a thick lather that covers all the hair, allowing for better cleaning. I can also run my fingers through my hair while I’m washing it, which I normally can’t do with most regular shampoos. My hair was manageable and moisturized. That’s always nice!

My complaint about this shampoo, however, is that—maybe because it is a thick moisturizing shampoo—it leaves my hair feeling a little pasty afterwards, and dandruff is easily built up. I guess using lots of water can help rinse out any excessive buildup. But then again, I tried that and it didn’t completely help.

I would mostly recommend this product for people with fine to medium hair. It smells great (fresh clean scent) and it is very affordable.

"None of your frizzness"

None of your frizzness shampoo

I really like that “non of your frizzness” phrase. I think that’s what got my attention–that, and that I love the smell of Herbal Essences products.

For a diva in a budget,  I would recommend buying this smoothing shampoo by Herbal Essences.

What does it do to my hair? It moisturizes and smooths it while it’s on my hair. Once I rinse out, not so much. I can’t feel the smoothness once I get it off and it doesn’t control all of my frizz, but hey, we’re talking about my hair. I did notice that my hair doesn’t immediate stick out and gets all big and puffy right after I blow dry.

What I like the most about it is that it smells awesome. The smell doesn’t immediately go away, like most shampoos that I try, and that’s a plus!
